Hōjicha(Roasted tea) is a type of green tea that is roasted. We use the first flush of green tea of the season. Using a roasting process at high temperatures prevents oxidation of the tea leaves and produces a light golden color.
Once infused, Hōjicha has a nutty, toasty, sweet flavor. The tea has little to no bitterness and contains far less caffeine.
