Our organic matcha is of ceremonial quality. We use our first flush of tea leaves from the season. The leaves are grown hidden by sun for more than 3 weeks before harvest, this creates more theanine and Umami flavor.
Matcha is an antioxidant, and in recent years has been celebrated as a superfood. It is said that 70% of the nutritional value remains in the used tea leaves. By drinking Matcha, you consume the entire leaf and therefore all of its health benefits.
Our Matcha also has universal uses and can be used for cooking and baking. (Matcha Lattes, smoothies, pancakes, sprinkled on top of ice cream or yogurt).
